Emilia Quinn's Girl Talk Gang

Emilia Quinn has made a name for herself as the UK country scene’s very own firecracker. Speaking of this new single, she explains:

“Girl Talk is about bringing womxn together in an industry where we’re pitted against each other so frequently. It’s also to make a point that womxn are not treated equally to their male counterparts even though gender has nothing to do with talent, knowledge or skill.”

It’s an important subject for Quinn, who is regularly outspoken on her own social media platforms about the value of womxn and the way they’re perceived – particularly in such a male-dominated industry.  It’s hardly surprising that she wrote a song about it.  We’ve already shared a review of Girl Talk, but as Emilia is our featured artist this week – and as it’s international women’s day – what better time than to meet the whole gang?!

“It’s incredible to be a part of something that truly celebrates women in music, through the song, it’s production, performance and the essence of sisterhood it has created. We are raised to believe that other women are our competition and this is a welcome reminder that we are stronger (and a little more fabulous) when we work together!”

“It was an absolute honour to be asked by Emilia to be a part of this track. All the women involved are incredibly talented & strong. A lot of them I look up to and aspire to be as strong as when sometimes, life isn’t so easy haha! We got to lift each other up!”

“I feel so blessed to be a small part of Girl Talk and I knew I wanted to be a part of it as soon as Emilia sent the demo across to me. This track is unique in the sense that it’s humourous but has an underlying message not to mess with us ladies and treat us with the respect we deserve. Working with Emilia was so much fun and I’m always inspired by the way she continues to break down barriers and traditions within this genre. She really is a Firecracker!”
