Forming the third and final piece of his three-part release strategy promised earlier in 2021, Gary Quinn’s next offering, Catch Me, arrives on 11th June. It’s another product of Quinn’s 2020 trip to Nashville and was co-written with Scott Reeves and JP Williams, with Richard Alex once again lending his production prowess. It follows January’s Nobody Somebody and February’s Complicated, both of which have seen success on Spotify and Apple Music playlists.
This song is a departure from the heavily pop-influenced tracks Quinn has released this year. It favours a slightly more traditional sound with a rich, reverb-heavy picked guitar refrain to open. The lyrics explore a relationship with that one person who knows you inside out – the one who, as Quinn explains, ‘sees when you might be about to make some reckless decisions’ and ‘is there to help you should you fall’. It has a wide-open-road sound and a really vibrant vibe – something I’ve felt Quinn’s recent releases have lacked somewhat. This is certainly a return to form for the Northern Irish award-winning artist and it comes just weeks before his main stage performance at Buckle & Boots festival.
CATCH ME is available to pre-order and pre-save ahead of release on all major platforms on 11th June 2021. Fans who pre-save on Spotify will instantly receive a video link to the ‘Live Acoustic’ version of the single. Follow Gary on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, or visit his website.
