Country-Americana-pop artist Rebecca Jayne releases You’re Loved tomorrow, 29th January. Rebecca has previously worked closely with Miles Myerscough-Harris, son of legendary DJ and country music champion Bob Harris. Myerscough-Harris is the mastermind behind the ‘Under The Apple Tree’ sessons, and also produced this single. The artwork was designed by Rebecca and created by Molly India Nye.
With a release schedule already in place for 2021, Rebecca Jayne wrote You’re Loved at the end of 2020 and never intended for it to become her first single of the year. It became a surprise addition to her growing discography, with the hope that its last-minute release might help others in a similar period of grief.
You’re Loved is a tender and haunting ballad. The piano and lightly picked guitar come together to create a dreamy soundscape through which Rebecca Jayne’s voice carries beautifully. The whole track is raw and authentic, written about the loss of a loved one. It’s melancholic but not quite sad – very ethereal. It sounds like the first hint of morning as the sky begins to lighten – I feel like I’m stood on the edge of land just before the sunrise. This song is haunting in the most beautiful of ways.
