Pour me something tall and strong, it’s the weekend and it’s time to get drinkin’!

weekly playlist 14 - drinkin

Yes, this week’s playlist is drinkin’ and boy, have we got some absolute bangers for you.  This week’s highlights come from Lauren Jenkins, Brothers Osborne and Kelsea Ballerini.

Payday is full of attitude. It’s the best way to enjoy a drink – on payday, knowing you have no kids or mortgage to pay for, just plenty of whisky.  Lauren Jenkins is an incredible entertainer – her music comes to life just as strongly on stage with a woman and her guitar as it does on a recorded album with a full-band backing, and I could sing her praises until the end of the millennium and still find more reasons to love her.  If you haven’t managed to see her perform yet, she’s solidified herself as one of the most prolific live stream performers throughout the lockdown period, so I’m sure you’ll be able to catch her on Instagram soon!

Drank Like Hank – like everything else Brothers Osborne have touched – is just gold.  It’s big, it’s bold, it’s a little bit dirty and that’s exactly what I want from them.

Finally, hole in the bottle is a favourite from Kelsea Ballerini’s latest album – it’s just so much fun.  Who hasn’t found themselves with an accidentally empty bottle… even when you’ve only had one glass, I promise!

As always, don’t forget to let me know YOUR highlights (drop a comment here or catch us on our social media), and let me know what songs you would’ve added to this list too! You can suggest your own theme ideas for our next playlist here and follow our Spotify here.
